Girl with Half a Face Disfigured By Disease Goldenhar Syndrome
Ivanka Danisová, from Bratislava, was born with a congenital birth defect Goldenhar syndrome that caused undeveloped cranial bones on the right side of her face.
30 Year Old Girl, Ivanka Danisová from Slovakia was formed in a very unexpected way.
She was born with “Half a Face.” One-half beautiful face and another half face since birth disfigured by a terrible disease Goldenhar syndrome.
Because of this disease, she spent most of her life covering up the defect with her long hair. sunglasses and accessories to hide her condition – as well as battling cruel comments from strangers.
Ms. Ivanka Danisová successfully underwent the very first 11-Hr. long craniofacial surgery and the second procedure that lasted 20 hours.

The Slovakian, who was told she would die young, has come to be the first European to undergo life-changing treatment for the disorder in the US.
She said: ‘My childhood was not a walk in the park, as there were moments when I was shown in a cruel way that I am “different”.
Ms. Ivanka Danisová has since launched the campaign ‘Rainbow for Ivanka’ for other patients whose have similar disease Goldenhar syndrome.
Ms. Ivanka Danisová encourages other people to take a selfie with one-half of the face covered to increase awareness through social media.
Ms. Ivanka said: ‘We do the selfie because the biggest dream of each rainbow children one time to uncover your hand on one-half of a face.
Ms. Danisová said: ‘Thanks to my sisters I didn’t feel different, rejected. They never let anyone hurt me in any way’ (pictured: Monika, left, and Janka, right)
